District Bar Peshawar to protest against lawyer's thrashing
PESHAWAR: The District Bar Association Peshawar has announced a strike tomorrow, after a lawyer fell victim to police torture in the provincial capital on Monday – ARY News reports.
The unfortunate incident of police-lawyers scuffle took place in Shah Qabool area of Peshawar, when a lawyer was brutally thrashed by policemen, for honking his car horn to get enough space to pass through. The on-duty cops beat the lawyer so badly, that he got his four teeth broken.
The District Bar Association Peshawar has announced the boycott of court proceedings tomorrow, in protest against the incident.
