Diwali is the celebration of colours and lights. Popularly known and referred to as the ‘festival of lights’, Diwali is a form of celebration which is popular among Hindu and Jain followers.
Diwali is a five-day celebration festival, during which Hindus clean their homes and wear colourful outfits. Spiritually, it signifies the victory of good versus evil. In Pakistan as well, the Hindu minority celebrated Diwali. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also addressed the Hindu community, in a bid to promote friendship with other communities living in Pakistan.
