Doctors end protest at Karachi’s Jinnah hospital after two days

The Joint Action Committee of doctors had been divided over the strike, and the paramedical staff insisted to continue with its demand seeking increase in salaries, promotions and payment of health risk allowance.

Reports said that the over eight patients lost their lives owing to strike called by doctors.

The administration held talks with the doctors and they ended their protest after assurance for acceptance of their demands.

Scores of patients visiting one of the largest hospitals of Karachi faced immense hardships in the wake of strike. The boycott affected all the departments including radiology department and labortaries.
