KENTUCKY, US: Kentucky town kept surprising the world of its unusual move of electing a dog as its mayor, and that too for the fourth time.

The aptly named Brynneth Pawltro is the town’s fourth dog Mayor, according to WDRB. She managed to defeat three other candidates, a chicken, a donkey and a child.

But many residents are full of praise for their new representative ‘She has the best smile I’ve ever seen,’ said Jordie Bamforth.

But Bobbi Kayser admitted the new mayor had been accused of ‘inappropriate licking’.

Unfortunately for her supporters, Brynneth is not a real mayor. Rabbit Hash is not large enough to require an official representative.

However elections are held each year by the town’s historical society. ‘It started in the late 1990s as a fundraiser,’ said Bobbi.

‘We charge you a dollar for your vote, you vote as often as you want.’ The money raised from the election usually goes towards town improvements.

This time, it helped repair the local store after a devastating fire that destroyed the shop last year. Now that Brynneth is in office, many are anxious for her to reveal her stances on important political issues, such as tennis balls, sticks and veterinary bills.
