ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said Rs 340 million were given to Pakistan by ‘Friends of Pakistan’ while a donation of $1.5 billion from Saudia Arabia was a gift from one of the friends, ARY News reported Wednesday.
Giving a policy statement in the National Assembly on economic condition, Mr. Dar said Rs 340 million were given to Pakistan. He said bonds of Pakistan will gain value in international market.
He claimed that 70% of the domestic consumers were not affected by increase in electricity tariff. Subsidy will also be given on electrtcity this year, he added.
He stated that a valuable 17% increase in tax collection was recorded so far.
