Don’t remember attending meeting about Musharraf, says Fazl

ISLAMABAD: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Ameer of Jamiat Ulema Islam – Fazl (JUI-F), has said that he does not remember attending any meeting regarding former President Pervez Musharraf, ARY News reports from Islamabad.

Speaking at a press conference at Khair-ul-Madaris, JUI-F Ameer Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that he was not completely satisfied with the performance of the federal government but it is his duty to give correct suggestions to the government.

“The situation of the country is critical. There should be political stability and democracy should go on”, Fazl said.

Ameer JUI-F stated that the anti-United States mentality cannot be finished till we remain coalition partners of the US.

Fazlur Rehman, while answering a question said that, that the peace talks with Taliban were nothing but a drama and there is a big difference between negotiations and a theatrics.

Speaking on the long march of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on 14th August, Fazl said that the sky will not fall down due to Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s rally. He also said that holding rallies and marches are a democratic right of the people.

“No one can stage bigger rallies than us. PTI should be allowed to stage rallies but I think that organizing such even on Indepence Day should not be held”, Fazl claimed.

Fazlur Rehman, while speaking on the Israel-Palestine issue, said that Muslim nation should be united.

He added that the politics of deals cannot end till the establishment is subjected to the constitution.
