ISLAMABAD: Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique on Friday appealed from masses to not to take the politicians seriously who presented things in exaggerated manners, ARY News reported.

It’s a normal thing for us to sling mud on each other and we politicians are good at it, he said smilingly adding that you should not take it seriously, though, at the same time he admitted, we (politicians) are not as bad as we are assumed.

“Pakistan has achieved a lot in its 70 years of democratic struggle. Democracy lies in its roots. Pakistan’s romance with democracy is never-ending. That’s why it has survived four martial laws successfully,” he said while addressing a ceremony in Islamabad.

He said this was a big achievement of Pakistanis to maintain democracy. You are a vibrant nation and do not bow down to subjugation, he added.

Througout this struggle our political parties have matured, and where there was immaturity in a political party with the passage of time it will also grow up, he said.

“The speed of development in our country can exceed given that we shun the differences within,” he said.

Saad said there lied enormous talent in youth of our country. They had glorified Pakistan world over, he said.
