Downward trend continues, KSE 100-Index loses 246.46pts

KARACHI: The recession in Karachi Stock Exchange remained continue as investors’ worries regarding country situation kept them reluctant to invest and KSE 100-Index lost 246.43 points, ARY News reported.

KSE-100 Index suspended on 28383.20 points with the negative change of 0.86 per cent on Tuesday.     

High and Low were 28654.23 and 28833.94 respectively.     

Total volume traded in the market was 146,215,000 and in terms of value it was 9, 6,881,231,385.        

Total traded companies were 341, among them 85 advanced, 235 declined while 21 went unchanged.

The three top traded companies were Soneri Bank Ltd with a volume of 10,687,500 and price per share of 14.25 (0.40), NIB Bank Limited with a volume 5,569,500 of price per share of 2.57 (0.06), Fauji Cement with a volume 3,766,000 of price per share of 17.11 (0.05).

Rafhan Maize SPOT, Bata (Pak) XD and Island Textile were top three advancer while Wyeth Pak Ltd, Sanofi-Aventis XD and Pak TobaccoXD were top three decliners.
