LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri has has left the Lahore airport along with PML-Q leader Chaudhary Pervez Elahi and Punjab governor Chaudhary Sarwar under a heavy security protocol ,ARY News reported Monday.
Dr. Qadri had agreed to leave the airport following the assurance of governor Punjab complete security.
Dr. Qadri will first head to Jinnah Hospital to inquire after his injured party workers, thence he will move to his residence.
Security has been beefed up at the airport in view of Dr. Qadri’s arrival and existing security threats.
Following his telephonic conversation with Dr. Qadri, Governor Punjab had left to pick him from the airport. Sarwar will provide a bullet-proof vehicle to Dr. Qadri to take him home.
Meanwhile, PAT has also announced to end its sit-ins across the country.
