Drone strike kills two people near Pak-Afghan border: Sources

PESHAWAR: A U.S. drone strike near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on Tuesday killed two people, according to sources.

The drone fired missile on a vehicle in the bordering area of Afghanistan, killing two people sources said. However, it was not clear as to who were targeted in the drone attack.

The identities of those killed couldn’t be made available immediately.

On October 20, at least 12 suspected militants were reportedly killed in a drone strike in Afghanistan’s Paktia province.

According to sources, a suspected United States (US) drone fired six missiles, killing 12 militants.

In the same month, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar chief Umar Khalid Khorasani along with nine of his associates, was killed in a drone attack in Paktia province.
