Drones are a violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty: PM Nawaz

BHAWALPUR: Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, has said that the drone attacks are violating the sovereignty of Pakistan – ARY News reports.

The statement was made by the PM during his speech at the Azm-e-Nau 4 military exercises in the deserts of Bhawalpur. Officials and troops exhibited their warfare capabilities during the exercises. 

Pakistan Army also demonstrated its capability to hit drones in the sky by anti aircraft guns.

On this occasion, Nawaz Sharif stated that the Government of Pakistan will overcome the problems of the country, adding that Pakistan is facing both internal and external threats.

He further said that peace must be given a chance. He claimed that gone are the days when foreign policy of Pakistan used to be decided on phone calls, now the political and military leadership are both united. PM added that the Pakistan Government desires to eradicate terrorism from the country.

Lauding the efforts of Pakistan Army, he expressed his pleasure over the professional training of the military personnel. He stated that civil society and military of Pakistan should stand side by side.

Nawaz Sharif further said that Pakistan Army has always helped the nation during natural disasters.

He felicitated General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, Chief of Army Staff, and all the military personnel over a successful demonstration of military’s capabilities.
