JAMSHORO: After worrisome health conditions in Tharparkar, around 28 villages in Kohistan, Jamshoro have been declared calamity-hit due to drought-like situation, ARY News reported Monday.
The calamity-hit 28 villages fall under Tehsil Thana Pura Khan of Kohistan, Jamshoro.
According to ARY correspondent, the newly affected area stretches from Surjani Town Karachi to Sehwan Sharif, with a population of around 0.1 million (1,00,000) people. Of the estimated population, 70,000 are suffering from drought and have started moving towards other districts and urban areas.
Several livestock have died in the wake of drought-like situation.
