The assistance for drought-hit people of Thar seems below-par as adequate necessary medical facilities and staples could not be provided to the denizens despite repeated promises by the PPP-led government.
Sources in the Mithi Civil Hospital said as many as 50 children had died in last 42 days in Tharparkar due to extreme deteriorating health conditions owing to drought.
They said 51 children are still admitted in different hospitals while two of them had now been shifted to Hyderabad for necessary treatment.
