After Namaz-e-Janaza IGP Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali while talking to media said that no such coward attacks can demoralize Sindh Police, the moral of Sindh Police is very high and we never hesitate to give any sacrifice in maintaining law and order and he further said that we will eradicate the terrorism and terrorists from are soil.
DSP of SITE Area Majeed Abbasi was on his way to office from home when unknown gunmen opened indiscriminate fire over his car. He sustained critical injuries.
He was shifted to Jinnah Hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
It should be noted that DSP Zulfiqar Zaidi was also killed in a targeted attack on 10th May.
Large number of police officers arrived at Jinnah Hospital receiving the news of the incident. The police authorities have issued orders for immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the attack.
According to sources, DSP Majeed Abbasi was getting death threats due to his steadfast approach against the criminals in his area of posting.
