DUBAI T20: Pakistan slump to 96/9 against Australia

DUBAI: Australia requires 97 runs to win the Twenty20 match against Pakistan as the green shirts could only put up 96/9 on the scoreboard in their 20 overs at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, ARY News reports.

Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi won the toss and put his side to bat first in the match.

It should be noted that only four batsmen from the green shirts scored in double figures. Debutant Saad Naseem was the top scorer for Pakistan with 25 runs from 32 balls followed by Wahab Riaz’s knock of 16 runs from 20 balls.

Raza Hassan scored 13 runs from 13 balls whereas Ahmed Shehzad scored 10 runs from 20 balls.

Glenn Maxwell was the stand out bowler for the Australian side as he took three wickets in his three overs. Cameron Boyce grabbed two wickets whereas Mitchell Starc, Kane Richardson, Sean Abbott and James Faulkner took one wicket each.
