Durban test: Kallis scores farewell ton; India 68-2

DURBAN: South African all rounder scored his farewell century on the fourth day of second test against India at Kingsmead, Durban, ARY News reported on Sunday.

The morning of Sunday was all about Jacques Kallis, who slowly and steadily made his way to an emotional farewell ton. With his 45th century in Test cricket, before going past Rahul Dravid to become the third highest run-getter in Tests and gradually push India towards an unwinnable position in Durban.

South Africa scored 500 runs in their second inning. Kallis was the top scorer with 115. AB De Villiers played a handsome knock of 74 runs.

Lower order of South Africa contributed wholly, Dale Steyn (44), Faf du Plessis (43) and Robin Peterson (61) stretched the lead to 166.

Slow left-arm orthodox Ravindrasinh Jadeja took 6 wickets while Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma dismissed 2,1 batsmen respectively.

India had lost two wickets at the score of 68 runs. Both the opening batsmen Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay backed to pavilion after scoring 19 and 6 respectively.
