ISLAMABAD: A 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck Pakistan’s northern areas on Saturday.The tremor, which was felt in several parts of the country, reportedly caused no loss of life and property.
Tremors were felt in Abbottabad, Malakand, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Balakot, Mardan, Chitral and North Waziristan. The epicentre of the earthquake was Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan
Owing to the tremor, which lasted for a few seconds, people rushed out of their apartment and office buildings amid fear and panic.
