ECO summit to inject new impetus to regional economic growth: China
ISLAMABAD: China says the 13th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit held in Islamabad would give a new impetus to the regional economic growth.
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Geng Shuang, at a press briefing in Beijing today, said that China was open to all regional arrangements conducive to the connectivity, infrastructure building and regional cooperation.
The spokesman said that China would host a Belt and Road Forum for international cooperation in May this year.
Responding to a question, he said China opposed terrorism in all its manifestation and was actively engaged in international cooperation in fighting terrorism.
ECO member states on Wednesday reiterated their political will and strong commitment for economic development, common prosperity, regional integration and peace and stability in the region.
