According to the ECP sources, the provincial election commission has been directed to submit a report about the normal, sensitive and extremely sensitive polling stations of the constituency in Pakistan’s largest city of Karachi.
The polling for National Assembly constituency NA-246 will be held on April 23. The constituency have total 213 polling stations.
The seat was vacated after MQM member Nabeel Gabol who had developed differences with the party leadership, tendered his resignation from the seat.
A number of candidates are contesting in the election with MQM’s Kunwar Naveed Jamil, PTI’s Imran Ismail and JI’s Rashid Nasim the main contenders.
According to sources, the ballot papers for the by-election in the sensitive constituency will be sent under the military security.
