HARIPUR: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has declared Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) candidate, Umer Ayub to be the candidate from the constituency NA-19, Haripur – ARY News reports.
According to details, the ECP issued a notification earlier today, declaring Umer Ayub to be successful from NA-19 Haripur.
During the general elections, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) nominee Raja Amir Zaman had won from this constituency, whilst Umer Ayub challenged his victory.
The ECP held re-polling on seven polling stations in the light of the verdict of the concerned election tribunal and consequently declared Umer Ayub to be the winning candidate.
By-polls were held on seven polling stations in the constituency on Wednesday, January 29.
