Efficient plans are in process for financial recovery of Pakistan Railways: Saad Rafique
LAHORE: Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique revealed on Sunday that government is working on a project to operate freight train from Islamabad to Turkey and later India would be included in the project, ARY News reported.
He said that complete balance is required in working of passenger and freight trains to put railway out of deficit.
While addressing a press conference in Lahore,Khawaja Saad Rafique asked Supreme Court to take notice of the relief given to the corrupt officials by the local courts.
“No businessmen can carry corruption in railway anymore and the entire outstanding amount would be recovered from everyone, no matter how much the one is influential”, he added.
The Minister said that all the corrupt elements have been sidelined during the last six months and railway has earned record profit during the period.
Saad Rafique vowed to provide full fledge security to the passengers by saying if anyone found involved in the terrorist activities would be taken to task.
