ISLAMABAD: Member of Taliban representative committee and Jamat e Islami (JI) leader, Professor Ibrahim has said that the blast on a police van in Karachi has created hurdles in the way of peace – ARY News reports.
While talking in ARY News program, Off the Record, Professor Ibrahim admitted before the anchorperson, Kashif Abbasi that the attack on a police van in Karachi on Thursday has created hurdles in the way of peace as well as for the peace committee to move on.
He added that such incidents can cause great set back to the ongoing negotiations process between the Government and Taliban.
Earlier in the morning on Thursday, a blast at a police van at main National Highway near Razzaqabad Police Training Center had claimed 13 policemen, whilst 50 others were injured.
Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) soon after the incident, had claimed the responsibility of the attack.
