Rana Sanaullah violates Election campaign law

FAISALABAD: Ex Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah dishonored electoral code of conduct by challenging court order of the law on Monday.

According to sources, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah visited Faizabad area of Faisalabad.

He was secured by private security guards wearing uniforms same as of police and also displaying heavy weapons in the full day light, this is an act banned by Election Commission of Pakistan.

According to ECP code of conduct, it is clearly stated:

There will be a complete ban on display of weapons during election campaigns. The president, prime minister, governors or any other public office holder will not be able to visit any constituency.

Astonishingly, the police was also there but none of them took any action against the violation of law decided by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

According to ECP code of conduct it was a clear warning, “Upon failure to obey the code of conduct, action would be taken against those responsible.”

According to the rules, the political parties, candidates and election agents shall accept everything as per mentioned accordingly, including directions, instructions and regulations issued by the Election Commission.
