LAHORE: Election tribunal has declared the result of PP-136 Narowal as void on Wednesday (today), ARY News reports from Lahore.
Judge Kazim Malik of election tribunal heard the case today.
Petitioner's counsel told the court that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz's (PML-N) Colonel (Retd.) Shujaat Ali Khan was elected in the Punjab Assembly after rigging the polls on a large scale.
The judge formed a commission to probe the rigging claims. The records showed that the several bags of the ballot papers were missing whereas many of the papers were fake.
After listening to all the arguments, the judge declared the results of PP-136 as void and order a by-election in the constituency within the next 60 days.
