Emergency meeting decides joint session of Parliament on Tuesday

ISLAMABAD: The high level meeting has decided to convene a joint sitting of the parliament on Tuesday to discuss on-going situation due to political disorder, ARY News reported.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chairing the meeting held in Islamabad condemned the attack on state institutions.

The meeting appreciated the role of police to restrict protesters from destruction of building located in Constitution Avenue.

Sources informed that federal interior minister has been advised to use all possible resources to control the situation in federal capital. During the meeting a crackdown against protesters has been decided.

The meeting was attended by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed, Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rqafique, Law Minister Zahid Hamid, Federal Minister of States and Regional Affairs Abdul Qadir Baloch and Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal.
