Emergency meeting: PM Nawaz leaves for Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has left for Islamabad and convened an emergency meeting in the capital city to discuss the strategy to cope with current political crisis, ARY News reported Sunday.

The prime minister is currently in Lahore and now has left for Islamabad to hold a meeting with government high-ups regarding ongoing situation in the capital over political turmoil.

The meeting will also consider the statements from different political leaders against the Islamabad crackdown on protesters of PTI and PAT.

Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan and other senior leaders will attend the meeting.

Meanwhile, the PAT and PTI chiefs have expressed their resentment against the state offensive on their citizens. They vowed to stay in the capital until PM Nawaz Sharif tendered his resignation.
