She was the child star of the Harry Potter series and essayed the role of Hermione Granger, a Muggle-born Gryffindor Hogwarts student with finesse. Now, according to reports by an Indian website, Emma Watson is in talks to make her debut in a Bollywood biopic with none other than Pk star Aamir Khan as her co-star!
The film will focus on journalist J Dey, his life, career, achievements and his murder. J Dey was a crime journalist who was murdered.
A source close to Khan said: “Aamir is thinking to postpone his shoot for Dangalsince he wants to accommodate dates for Mid Dey after seeing the energy, clarity, and international cinema vision of Nandit Singha. “Mid Dey is more massy and connects mainly with every segment of an Indian and international audience. By doing Mid Dey Aamir will become the voice of Indian journalists in international cinema.”
Aamir Khan is currently involved in another project, called Dangal in which he essays the role of a retired wrestler who trains his daughters. Khan, known for his professionalism, has put on quite a lot of weight for the film.
Singha refused to divulge too much into the details and instead stated,”Once everything is finalised, we will hold a couple of press conferences in India and the UK to announce the film. Till then let’s keep our fingers crossed.”
Looks like something big might be in the works here. If Mid Dey does prove the first uniting of Emma Watson and Aamir Khan, this bilingual, Hindi-English movie will become Khan’s first move into Hollywood, as well as Watson’s debut in India. Aamir Khan’s last filmed Pk broke multiple records in India and overseas. It also became the highest grossing Bollywood film internationally of all time and established Aamir’s status as the leading Khan among the three Khans in Bollywood.
With Emma Watson tied to the project, the movie is bound to become a super-hit film.
