England crushes Peru in warm-up

LONDON: England makes short work of Peru in the final warm-up match at Wembley Stadium before the World Cup defeating them by 3-0, ARY News reported.

English footballer, Daniel Sturridge provided the friendly match’s only standout moment when he put England ahead in the 32nd minute with a shot into the top corner of the net.

Meanwhile, the other two goals were scored in second half when Phil Jagielka’s set piece was headed home in the 65th minute by Gary Cahill, and Jagielka found the net himself five minutes later after goalkeeper Raul Fernandez dropped Leighton Baines’ corner.

England heads to Miami to play friendlies against Ecuador and Honduras before flying on to Brazil for its World Cup opener against Italy on June 14.
