EOBI yet to increase pension prescribed by Govt.
ISLAMABAD: The Employees Old-age Benefits Institution (EOBI) has not yet paid the enhanced pension of atleast Rs. 5000 determined by government, ARY News reported.
Sick and elderly pensioner of EOBI has made an appeal to Chief Justice of Pakistan Tassaduq Hussain Jillani to take strict action against the elements involoved in the corupption of billion of rupees.
They stated that about 10 months ago, the government has directed to increase the pension to atleast Rs 5,000 per month which not implemented yet.
At present, a pension of Rs3,600 per month is paid to aged people who have served in government and private organisations, and have crossed the age of 60 years.
The deprived pensioners appealed CJ Pakistan to investigate the matter and provide justice.
