Zardari lashes out at Imran and Nawaz in Malakand
MALAKAND: Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday said that even children are raising the slogan of ‘Go Nawaz, Go’ now,” ARY News reported.
This should be noted that this slogan was first coined by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against the incumbent prime minister, which has been adopted by other opposition parties as well following Panama Leaks case verdict announced by the Supreme Court.
Zardari said the premier should not rejoice as not a single judge who penned down the verdict has found him innocent. He said the PM should instantly step down without further delay.
He held Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif responsible for the Mashal Khan killing incident and said Nawaz was carrying further the policy of former president Zia-ul-Haq.
“It is remorseful that the young man Mashal was killed in the university. I hold PM Nawaz responsible for this incident because he is a production of Ziaul Haq. He carries further his politics. He is a student of Zia-ul-Haq,” he said while addressing a public rally in Malakand.
He said nobody had asked him to give Pakhtoons an identity but he had this intuitive that they were seeking for an identity, hence he changed name of the province from North-West Frontier Province to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The co-chairman of PPP also claimed credit for establishing peace in the province, specially Malakand and Swat. “Three million people were residing here when the war started, then we took care of them.
“BB Shahed had resolved to hoist the flag of Pakistan in Swat and Malakand and we have fulfilled our promise,” he said.
