I prefer to work with passionate directors rather than experienced ones: Naseeruddin Shah

Karachi:  Indian film actor and director ‘Naseeruddin Shah’ has disclosed that he favours to work with inexperienced, but passionate directors than the ones who have lost the spark for filmmaking, ARY News has learnt.

Speaking to media at National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) Theatre Festival 2014, Naseeruddin Shah said that most of the films about which he feels great are by first-time directors and he has often regretted working with cinema masters, but never debutante directors.

The veteran actor asserted that he loves seeing the sparkle of a dream in the eye of a young novice because it reminds him that he was once a first-timer, adding that one should never forget where he or she started from.

He had worked in two Pakistani films, namely ‘Khuda K Liye’, the film was highest-grossing Pakistani film of 2007.

In 2013, Naseeruddin Shah appeared in the second Pakistani film ‘Zinda Bhaag’, which was selected as an official entry from Pakistan to the 86th Academy Awards in the category of Best Foreign Language Film.
