Explanation sought from PCB Chief over India visit

LAHORE: The federal government has sought an explanation from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Khan as to why he went to India for meeting with Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials without their permission, ARY News reports.

According to details, Federal Minister for Sports Riaz Pirzada has written a letter to PCB and has summoned the details of its chairman’s visit to India.

He has also sought a report on the incident which took place during Khan’s visit to the neighboring country.

It should be noted that activists of Hindu extremist organization Shiv Sena disrupted the meeting between PCB Chairman and BCCI President Shashank Manohar after storming BCCI’s Headquarters in Mumbai.

Pirzada has instructed Khan to not make any decisions without informing the government and inform them if BCCI contacts the cricketing board.
