Explosion rocks Karachi's SITE area

KARACHI: At least one man was injured in an explosion that rocked SITE industrial area of Karachi on Wednesday morning, ARY News reported. 

Police and rescue teams rushed towards the place of explosion in Metroville area.

SP SITE Police later said that the fuel tank of a generator in a factory exploded causing loud blast in the industrial area. A man was injured in the explosion.  

The bomb disposal squad checked the area and found no traces of explosives from the spot. 

According to some reports, a factory boiler was exploded in the Metroville area of SITE causing big explosion. 

In the same area a bomb device was found in the parking lot of ARY News on Tuesday, in a series of attacks at media houses in Karachi. 

Another bomb was found from Naurus Chowrangi in Karachi's industrial area on Wednesday. The citizens found the bomb and informed the police about it. The Bomb Disposal Squad defused the bomb devices with more than 12 kilograms of explosives. The bomb device was also contained ball bearings to maximize lethal intensity of the bomb.

Two bodies found

Two dead bodies found at Bin Qasim link road in Karachi.

The victims were shot dead and than tied in bags and left at roadside, police sources said.

The dead bodies have been transferred to a hospital morgue.
