Explosives defused outside Bannu school

According to details, the parents informed the police about the explosives planted at the gate of the school as they were dropping off their children to the educational institute on Wednesday morning.

Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) arrived at the scene and defused the explosives.

The parents of the schoolchildren have urged the federal government to take effective steps to ensure the safety of the schools before any untoward incident takes place.

It should be noted that terrorists had hurled crackers at two schools in Karachi on Tuesday morning. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.

At least 150 people including 135 school-children and nine staff members were killed when Taliban gunmen stormed Peshawar’s Army Public School on 16th December 2014.
