MUMBAI: An Indian actress was recently in the news – but for the all odd reasons. She suffered a setback in career and on the financial front and ended up begging on the streets.
The Indian police arrested Mitali Sharma for stealing on the roads of Lokhandwala, Mumbai.
The Mumbai police caught a 25-year-old girl while she was trying to break a car window. She turned out to be actress Mitali Sharma who was seen in one Bhojpuri film and a couple of modeling assignments.
Mitali ran away from her home to make it big in glamour industry by becoming an actress after this decision her parents abandoned her.
The cops found Mitali attempting to smash the window of a car near a housing society. The two lady officers who approached her were assaulted by the actress. She pushed one of them and bit the other before she finally subdued to them.

Sharma told the cops that she has acted in a Bhojpuri film, that she snagged a couple of modelling assignments and that she slipped into depression after her career stalled. The police are trying to ascertain as to how and when she came to Mumbai, but no one has come forward to claim her.
They think that she must have been staying alone in Mumbai and based on her appearance, had been roaming the streets for a few days days. They also suspect she had not eaten for a couple of days as she demanded food when she was caught. Sharma has been admitted to a mental asylum in Thane.
Mitali has been admitted to a mental asylum in Thane where she is kept segregated from the other patients. Doctors said that she has not spoken anything ever since her arrival but will get back to her normal self in 10 days. Only then can we speak to her. She is in a bad shape and requires medical assistance.
Earlier in 2007, once a popular model, Gitanjali was similarly discovered living off the streets and spending her nights in parks and temples.

Alisa Khan – another victim of career fall
Bollywood actress Alisa Khan who drew attention from different social circles after reports of her being abandoned by the family came to light and now latest reports claim that the actress has threatened to commit suicide following persistent ordeal she is facing.
According to some Indian websites, Alisa alleged that she had been left to live on the road by her husband. She seeks justice from Haridwar police.
Alisa added that she married a Haridwar resident named Love Kapoor on 17th June, against the will of her parents. She accused that Kapoor’s family is involved in her husband disowning her.
Khan, who will soon be seen in a film alongside actor Emraan Hashmi, has also earlier claimed that her family disowned her after her ex-boyfriend leaked her MMS online.
