Seems like Shahid Afridi and Ahmad Shahzad didn’t deem it necessary to keep local currency with them whilst they were having a meal in New Zealand. The two cricketers had to face an embarrassing moment when they realised after having a meal in a restaurant in Auckland, that they did not have local currency.

As a result, a Pakistani fan at the restaurant decided to pay their bill. According to a tweet, the two were eating at McDonald’s. The fan was delighted he had gotten to meet his favourite cricket superstars and said:-
“I’m very delighted and happy to see that our stars from Pakistan are here. Of course it is always good to have local stars here with us. I will come out and show support for our cricket team when the series commences, at Eden Park.”
Yesterday, Ahmad Shahzad had tweeted from the plane whilst he was about to reach Australia and New Zealand. The hard-hitting batsman had announced that the team was all geared up to win the series against New Zealand.
Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand commences from January 15.
