An Indian news website, quoting a report, stated that Khan and Chopra were happy over the response of Fan is getting and is eager to take the thriller story forward.
In the thriller-flick, Shah Rukh Khan portrays Aryan Khanna, an Indian superstar (actor most probably) who is feverishly popular in India. Fans throng the superstar by the thousands whenever he makes a single appearance, and Gaurav is not so different. He also portrays the eccentric fan Gaurav. The plot resembles that of Hollywood movie “The Fan” starring Robert De Niro and Wesley Snipes.
The 24 year-old Gaurav is obsessed with his favourite superstar Aryan Khanna. His room is filled to the brim with posters of Aryan and even his family is fed up of his compulsive with to meet Aryan. When the two do meet, much to his dismay, Gaurav is scolded and put down by Aryan. And that does not sit well with ‘the fan’.
The film is directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra. Oscar winner Greg Cannom was responsible for the prosthetic make-up effects.
The film was released on 15th April 2016 and has already crossed Rs. 100 crore mark at the box office. Undoubtedly, King Khan and his “fan” are still attracting audiences to the movie theatres for watching the film.
