LAHORE: Senior Leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Dr. Farooq Sattar termed Protection of Pakistan Ordinance (PPO) as dictatorial and black law, ARY News reported.

Addressing in the seminar organized by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan on Sunday at Lahore, Dr. Farooq Sattar said despite of PPO’s rejection from all political parties, government remains silent over the issue.

“In federal government’s point view, Law is a Law, either draconian or fair”, he added.

The Protection of Pakistan Ordinance, 2013, was approved by President Mamnoon Hussain on October 20, 2013 and the National Assembly on April 7, 2014. It now requires Senate approval or it will expire.

MQM Leader warned to be ready for worst circumstances if any provincial government expressed willingness for the approval of PPO in senate.

Dr. Farooq Sattar said Khwaja Saad Rafique and Khawja Asif will be the victim of PPO, if it gets implemented.
