KARACHI: The wait for innovative fashion lovers of Karachi has been ended with the start of the sixth-edition of the 'Fashion Pakistan Week' (FPW) 2014 on Wednesday, ARY News reported.
Sixth Edition of FPW comprises 24 Fashioner Designer promoting new style and customary with a mix of established fashion crop, a few commercial labels and a group of budding fashion students presented a mix of silhouettes – traditional and western in Karachi.
Models swayed down the ramp in off-shoulder maxis, knee-length shift dresses, and sleeveless kurtas, wearing cropped coats, capes and long jackets to cover up their bare skin – an essential ingredient for making these garments a commercial success.
A wide array of smart cropped coats in digital prints, embroidered long jackets and free-flowing colourful capes accompanied every designer's show.
The three-day fashion week in Karachi will help Pakistan's culture and fashion to stand along with global standard as well it will attract foreign buyers.
In order to courage the participants Pakistan Fashion Design Council has announced to award participants with different titles including ‘Emerging Talent’, ‘Diamond Designer Award’ and ‘Best Collection Award’.
