FATA beat Rawalpindi in National T20 Cup

RAWALPINDI: Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) defeated Rawalpindi Rams by 15 runs in the ongoing National T20 Cup at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, ARY News reported.

FATA won the toss and chose to bat first in the match. They scored 162/5 in their given 20 overs.

Skipper Fawad Khan scored 94 runs with the help of seven fours and eight sixes while Mohammad Usman contributed 31 runs from 29 balls after hitting two boundaries and a maximum.

Spinner Zulfiqar Babar grabbed two wickets for Rawalpindi while skipper Sohail Tanvir, Shadab Khan and Zahid Mansoor took one wicket each as well.

In reply, Rawalpindi scored 147/9 in their 20 overs. Mansoor was the highest scorer in the run chase as he made 30 runs from 25 balls after hitting a four and two sixes. Their skipper scored 26 runs off 18 balls with four boundaries to his name.

Opener Awais Zia made 23 runs from 18 balls with the help of four fours.

FATA bowler Asif Ali grabbed four wickets for his team while Mohammad Imran grabbed two wickets and Aamer Yamin dismissed one Rams batsman.

Fawad Khan was named the Player of the match.
