PESHAWAR: FATA tribunal reduced the jail term of Dr. Shakeel Afridi to 25 years on Saturday, ARY News reports on Saturday.
Commissioner Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR), while announcing the verdict today, reduced the sentence from 35 years to 25 years. The tribunal also reduced the fine of Rs. 3,20,000 to Rs. 2,20,000.
Earlier, the FATA tribunal had sent back the decision of the former FCR commissioner to commissioner due to ambiguity in the decision.
