ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ought to see the writing on the wall and resign before he is shown exit door, ARY News reported.

Speaking to reporters on the premises of the Supreme Court, the PTI spokesperson anticipated the case had come to such a juncture that the premier and his daughter Maryam Nawaz were going to be sent to prison for fourteen years.

He said that ‘Motu gang’ delivered long and fiery speeches outside the apex court when it came to describing money trail and Qatari letter in the court, they have no words to say anything.

“If Volume X of the JIT report is opened, many more revelations will come to fore,” Fawad said.

Whether to release video recordings of JIT proceedings is not point of discussions at the moment in the apex court, he said and added sarcastically, “If PM’s son-in-law, Captain Muhammad Safdar’s video recording of his testimony before the JIT will be released to cinemas, it would turn out to be a blockbuster.”

He said that since the investigating institutions were subservient to Sharifs, transparent probe couldn’t be carried out into the cases against them. Thus, he added, the JIT has recommended reopening of old cases against them so that a transparent investigation be conducted.
