Fawad Khan and Sonam Kapoor to star together again

TOP NEWS

Fawad Khan, Sonam Kapoor and a political drama movie. That is all you need to know about the upcoming Battle for Bhittora, their next movie after the critically acclaimed Khoobsurat.

According to an Indian source that gave away inside news regarding the movie, the film is expected to go on floors this June. “Rumours are buzzing that the film has been shelved because Shashanka (writer director Shashanka Ghosh, who also directed Khoobsurat) couldn’t crack the script. But that’s far from the truth. The screenplay has been locked. It showcases an interesting conflict between two diametrically opposite characters.”

Rhea Kapoor will be producing Battle for Bhittora, who also happens to be Sonam Kapoor’s sister. Fawad Khan won the Filmfare award for Best Male Debut for starring in Khoobsurat besides Sonam. (Also read: Fawad Khan wins Filmfare award in India). Ever since then, Fawad seems to be on a roll. The Pakistani hunk has bagged important roles beside Bollywood’s leading ladies such as Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt. Fawad will be romancing Priyanka Chopra on-screen for Mr.Chaloo, where the Khoobsurat star replaced Saif Ali Khan, who had turned down the role when it was offered to him. Also, Fawad is currently shooting for Kapoor and Sons, an upcoming movie which stars an ensemble cast including Sidhartt Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Rishi Kapoor.

Sonam Kapoor also seems have her hands full with multiple projects these days. The Bollywood actress contracted swine flu several weeks ago when she was shooting for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo with Salman Khan. She is currently shooting for a movie in which Sonam plays Neeraj Bhanot, the brave, slain flight stewardess who saved countless lives during a terrorist attack in Karachi. Expectations are  high from the two stars to deliver and give a stellar performance. Fawad and Sonam have impressed the audience before, there’s no reason why they can’t a second time!
