KARACHI: Molana Fazlur Rahman, Chief of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUIF), has expressed his dissatisfaction over the current mechanism of talks with Taliban – ARY News reports.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of his party's secretariat here in Karachi, Molana Fazlur Rahman said that the use of force can never result in the restoration of peace and a national consensus exists over negotiations, yet the ones holding up arms also provide basis for the use of force.
He inquired that if denying the constitution and courts is an offence then, what category will the institutions and parties will fall in, which abrogate the constitution.
Fazl said that we are also involved in an offence for not implementing Shariah through the Parliament.
Speaking about Karachi's situation, the JUIF Chief declared unemployment to be one of the reasons for unrest in the metropolis. He further mentioned that his party is against sectarianism and extremism, but its merits are kept hidden and demerits are made prominent.
Moreover, the ceremony was also address by JUIF leaders Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, Mufti Kifayatullah, Qari Usman and several others.
