Fazl meets Shahbaz, discusses prevention of sectarian clashes

LAHORE: Jamiat Ulama Islam-Fazl (JUIF) Chief, Molana Fazlur Rahman met the Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif here on Tuesday, both the leaders exchanged views about preventing sectarian clashes – ARY News reports.

During the meet, Molana Fazlur Rahman had a detailed discussion with the Chief Minister Punjab about the Rawalpindi Tragedy and the situation arising after that.

CM Shahbaz termed the incident to be tragic and said that whatever condemnation is done of this is less. He stated that the entire nation is aggrieved on this and the culprits behind the incident will not be spared.

He told the JUIF Chief that a judicial commission has been formed for the inquiry of the mishap that claimed at least 11 lives and injured more than 70 people.

The Chief Minister urged on the need of staying united, saying that the culprits behind this heinous incident are enemies of not only Pakistan, but of Islam too.

He further urged the Ulema to promote unity and brotherhood amongst different sects and praised the role of Molana Fazlur Rahman in decreasing stress in Rawalpindi after the incident.

Meanwhile, Molana Fazlur Rahman termed the incident to be a conspiracy to make Muslims fight with each other.
