FBI Agent case adjourned till May 19
KARACHI: A local court granted time to police to submit its final report in the case of an FBI agent till May 19, ARY News reported on Saturday.
Joel Cox, an agent of US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was arrested on May 5 for trying to board a flight with bullets and a knife in his luggage.
ARY News had broke the news of the arrest of the FBI agent at Karachi airport. The US authorities later confirmed that the arrested US national Joel Cox was an FBI agent.
Police during hearing of the case in Malir district court today sought more time from the court to submit its final report in the case of the FBI agent, who was released on $10,000 bail on Thursday.
The court granted the plea of the police to submit its report on May 19 and adjourned the hearing.
Cox was arrested on May 05 at Karachi airport while trying to board an Islamabad bound flight with bullets and a knife and a case under Sindh arms act was registered against him. Judicial magistrate Malir had granted his four days remand to police. District Judge Malir granted Cox bail on Thursday.
