FC arrests alleged Afghan NDS facilitator from Balochistan: ISPR
RAWALPINDI: Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan arrested a facilitator of Afghan intelligence agency in an operation, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Friday.
According to ISPR, the arrest was made during an operation conducted by FC Balochistan in collaboration with the intelligence agencies in Musa Colony area of Quetta city.
The Afghan national is a facilitator of the neighbouring country’s premier intelligence agency National Directorate of Security (NDS), the military’s media wing said in the statement.
In a separate intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Sangan area of the province, the FC recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition including explosives and communication equipment, ISPR further said.
Moreover, it said that residents of Sibbi, Talli, and Dera Murad Jamali have voluntarily submitted their illegal weapons in a de-weaponising campaign.
The raids were conducted under Operation Raddul Fasaad, which was launched by the Pakistan Army earlier this year in collaboration with paramilitary and other law enforcement agencies to uproot terrorism from the country.
