According to details, the ferry service will be started from the cities of Karachi and Gwadar to the Iranian city of Chabahar. Kamran Michael was of the view that this ferry service will provide ease and convenience to those who wish to visit religious sites in Iran and Iraq. “We are going to start this service in the larger national interest and are working with ministries to make this possible,” he said.
Kamran Michael also said it would be better if there was an accord between the two countries of Iran and Pakistan, for the execution of this fast ferry project. He also said the maximum priority of the government was to provide maximum security to the Zaireen.
Regarding Pakistan’s side, Micahel also assured maximum cooperation from the Ministry for Shipping and Ports to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Ministry of Foreign affairs as well as other departments concerned at Karachi and Gwadar ports.
