ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested former Chairman of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), Abdul Jabbar along with three other officials over out of turn appointments – ARY News reports.
According to FIA, arrest of the former Chairman and 3 other officials of PEMRA, was made by the Crime Wing of the agency. Among the other officials arrested are Safdar Rehman, Sardar Irfan and Shehzad Cheema.
FIA officials told that the arrested office-bearers of OPEMRA are alleged of recruiting 60 people on 18 different posts in PEMRA.
