Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said that NAB will not investigate the issue as the government has reservations with the investigation agency.
“Cases in NAB remain pending for six years”, he said.
He added that the letter to investigate the purchase of faulty locomotives was sent to FIA.
Rafique said that Chinese engineers had accepted that there were faults in the design of the cheap 10,000 horse-powered locomotives.
